About the Author

Lori Degman lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her husband and two sons and is a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing. She returned to writing, after a fifteen year hiatus, and entered the 2008, Cheerios Spoonfuls of Stories Contest. Her story, 1 ZANY ZOO, was awarded the grand prize. As a result, Simon & Schuster offered to publish her manuscript, which will be released in July, 2010.
