Malinda Lo is a writer and former managing editor of AfterEllen.com, the web’s top entertainment news site for lesbians and bisexual women. She has interviewed celebrities from Melissa Etheridge to Mary Louise Parker, and written critically on the representation of lesbians and bisexual women in the media. For this work, she was awarded the 2006 Sarah Pettit Memorial Award for Excellence in LGBT Journalism by the National Gay & Lesbian Journalists Association.
