Greetings from Oregon! I was born here, but spent eighteen years living in Los Angeles, so I am equally at home walking in the rain or sitting in traffic jams. I lived in northern England for a year while I was in college, so I learned to appreciate warm beer, milky tea, and Indian curries. Now when I travel, I am accompanied by my husband and son. We love meeting new people and exploring new places, but we’re always happy to come home to our two funny dogs.
A lot of people have asked why I wrote a book from the perspective of a teenage boy, since I am neither male, not teenaged. J All I can say is that it felt natural; Blake’s voice flowed easily for me. Authors have always experimented with points-of-view. If we all wrote only from our own perspective, we never would have had the pleasure of meeting characters like Shakespeare’s Juliet, Dickens’s Miss Havisham, or J.K.
