In THE RING, fifteen-year-old Mardie is on a downhill slide as she tries to fit in at high school. She sneaks out of the house, drinks, and lies. After she hits rock bottom, she discovers an unlikely place of acceptance and salvation: the boxing ring and the other “misfits” who train in the ring for there own reasons. Through months of training, Mardie learns to focus and believe in herself, even when others don’t. But can Mardie hang on to her hard-won new life as she trains for her first boxing competition and revelations about her brother rock her entire family?
